Connie is a massage therapist, bodywork instructor, and birth doula who also holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from Humboldt State University. After several years providing health and human services through local public and non-profit agencies, she found her true calling in the field of massage and bodywork. She started her practice in early 2005, after completing the 650-hour massage certification program at Arcata School of Massage, quickly gaining a reputation as an intuitive and well-trained practitioner who strikes the perfect balance between therapy and relaxation. Connie has been a member in good standing of Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals (ABMP) since the beginning of her career.
Connie enjoys customizing each session. Trained in multiple modalities, she uses communication, problem solving, and intuition to determine the best techniques for each individual. Whether the goal is to address a chronic problem area or new injury -- or to nurture and reset the body and soul -- longer sessions and a true connection help insure dynamic results. Whatever your needs, every body is welcome.
In 2009, Connie expanded her practice to include doula services for expectant mothers and their families. Depending on the client's needs, she provides a range of services, including pregnancy consultation, pre- and post-natal massage, delivery support, and follow-up. As a doula, Connie has helped welcome over 150 local newborns into the world and feels privileged to have been able to watch many of them grow with their families in beautiful Humboldt County.
